Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri (195 km)
The journey starts with a 7-8 hour drive from Dehradun to Sankri, passing through the scenic hills of Mussoorie and alongside the Yamuna River. The last stretch through Govind Wildlife Sanctuary offers stunning views despite some rough patches. You’ll arrive in Sankri by evening and stay in guesthouses or homestays. After check-in, you can explore the area before dinner and a briefing for the next day.
Day 2: Sankri to Juda-ka-Talab (4 km)
After breakfast, you begin the 4 km trek to Juda-ka-Talab, climbing steeply to 9,100 feet. The trail is lined with maple and pine leaves, and you’ll pass through dense forests and rural scenes. You’ll reach the serene lake by midday, where you’ll have lunch, enjoy group activities, and camp overnight under the stars.
Day 3: Juda-ka-Talab to Kedarkantha Base Camp (5 km)
Following breakfast, you’ll trek 5 km to Kedarkantha base camp. The trail, though steep in places, is beautiful and relatively easy, passing small lakes and oak-laden forests. Upon reaching the base camp, you’ll enjoy lunch and evening activities like group games and acclimatization walks. The night promises stunning stargazing opportunities.
Day 4: Summit Kedarkantha and descend to Juda-ka-Talab/Hargaon (6 km)
Starting early (around 2 or 3 am), you’ll trek to the Kedarkantha summit to catch the sunrise. The climb is moderately difficult but rewarding, with views of 13 Himalayan peaks and a small shrine at the top. After enjoying the views, you’ll descend back to Juda-ka-Talab or Hargaon, stopping for lunch at the base camp before continuing. You’ll camp overnight once more.
Day 5: Juda-ka-Talab/Hargaon to Dehradun
The final day involves a 4-hour trek from the camp to Sankri, followed by a 7-8 hour drive back to Dehradun. The return journey offers another chance to enjoy the scenic route. By late evening, you’ll arrive in Dehradun, ready for onward travel or a night’s rest in the city.

The Kedarkantha trek package includes:
– Transportation support throughout the journey. Vehicle Type –Bus, Tempo
Traveller, Bolero or similar (depending on the size of the group).
– 1st Night Accommodation at Homestay/ Guest House and 3 Nights Alpine Camping.
– Meals (vegetarian), From Dinner on Day 1 to breakfast on Day 5.
– Camping Equipments- Sleeping Bags, Crampons/ Micro Spikes, Gaiters if needed.
– A well-experienced and certified trek leader.
– First-aid Medical Kit.
– Forest Permit
– Cook / Supporting staff.
– All Toll Tax, Parking, and Driver allowances.
EXCLUSIONS:
The Kedarkantha trek package does not include:
– Anything that has not been mentioned in the inclusions mentioned above.
– Meals during Transit- Any lunch and other meals not mentioned in package
inclusions.
– Any additional expenses such as of personal nature/excursions/medical exigency
not mentioned in the inclusions
– Insurance.
– Extended stay or travelling due to any reason.

The following refund shall be payable to the guest in case of valid cancellation as
per the guidelines.
– Cancellations up to 21 days prior to departure date: 70% refund
– Between 21 days to 14 days prior to departure: 50% refund
– Between 14 days to 10 days prior to departure: 30% refund
– Less than 10 days of departure: Non Refundable
